Application Instructions

PURPOSE
Recognizes a member who has demonstrated exceptional contributions to the field through innovative, evidence-based research that advances diabetes care, self-management, education and/or diabetes related conditions.
AWARD
Recipient will receive complimentary registration to the ADCES Annual Conference where they will be recognized and will receive a $1,000 travel stipend.
ELIGIBILTY
Applicant must be an active member of ADCES, as defined by the Association’s Bylaws, for at least three (3) consecutive years at the time of submission and receipt of the award.
CRITERIA
  • The applicant must have led or contributed substantially to research conducted in the past 20 years.
  • Research must demonstrate dissemination and recognition, such as peer-reviewed publications and invited presentations.
  • The researcher’s work must be dedicated to diabetes care, self-management, education, and/or diabetes-related conditions.
  • Preference will be given to an applicant whose research program demonstrates impact on practice, such as informing clinical guidelines, advancing models of care, or influencing policy.

Applications and supporting materials must be submitted by March 2, 2026. All applications must be complete to be considered. Please provide as much detail as possible in your answers. Applications demonstrating thoughtful, detailed responses tend to yield more favorable results.
