Traineeships combine practical experience at work, with knowledge and skills-based education. Employers of trainees are supported by government through a range of subsidies. Trainees spend the majority of their time in the workplace, and this practical experience is complemented by online or on-campus learning with a training provider. Upon completion, trainees receive a nationally recognised qualification.

This survey is designed to provide information about the WA information technology (IT) industry’s understanding of, and attitude to, the traineeship model. The survey is in three parts and should take around 12 minutes to complete.

Information gathered through this survey will be provided to the Western Australian Minister for Education and Training, and the Department of Training and Workforce Development, and will be used to guide policy development. FutureNow may also use this information to inform our ongoing research. Individual responses will not be identifiable, however please indicate if you prefer to remain anonymous.
