Play is more than just fun—it’s how children learn, grow, and connect with the world around them. It sparks creativity, builds confidence, and brings people together across all ages.

Council is planning a new playground and multi-age recreation space near the Kuranda Library and Bartley Park.

This project supports Council’s Parks and Open Spaces Strategy 3-Year Action Plan, with a vision focused on two key areas:
  • The Old Kuranda State School site (next to the library)
  • Bartley Park

Before finalising plans and seeking funding, we want your feedback to help shape a space that reflects the Kuranda community, a place for play, creativity, and connection.
