Introduction

Welcome to Canadian Lawyer’s survey of the top criminal law boutiques and top civil litigation boutiques. We're looking for your input on the best firms specializing in civil and criminal litigation. The list for each practice area is found on a separate page of the survey.

Canadian Lawyer is surveying the legal community for input on Canada's top 10 civil litigation and criminal law boutiques. Law firms that are included in our short list practise exclusively or almost exclusively in the area of civil litigation or criminal law. While there are large law firms whose practices are in these areas, we've defined "boutique" to mean firms with a minimum of 80 per cent of their revenue derived from criminal law and civil litigation.

Please note that our lists are not definitive, and you can use the opportunity in each section to add your own nominee if you feel any worthy ones have been missed. Also, the survey results are not determinative of the final list. Our editorial team will make the final selections after drawing on the experience of in-house counsel and large-firm lawyers who refer work to these boutiques. Thanks for taking part!
