Share Your Ideas About Trail Development in Copake

The Town of Copake is preparing a Waterfront and Community Revitalization Plan (see www.copakewaterfronts.com) which includes a project to develop a trail plan.

A trail plan will guide the development and maintenance of a townwide trail network for recreational activities such as walking, running, hiking, biking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, horseback riding, snowmobiling or off-road vehicle riding, kayaking or canoeing, for example. Trails may be motorized and non-motorized trails, on land or on water, in both rural parts of the community and in the hamlets. Feedback from stakeholders, partner groups and community members will help to shape the strategy.

We want to better understand:
  • how you use trails in Copake today
  • which trail amenities are most important to you
  • whether there are barriers that impact your trail use or that need to be considered in the future
  • how to get people more involved with recreational trails
  • any and all ideas you have for new trails, short or long, easy or hard, on or off road, linear or loops...
We need your ideas:

Whether you currently use trails in Copake or would like to in the future, we would like to hear from you.

Please complete the survey by March 15, 2021. Please contact Roberta Roll at roberta.roll@gmail.com  with questions. You can also print a copy of the survey to fill out at www.copakewaterfronts.com/survey. Print surveys should be scanned and returned to copakewaterfronts@gmail.com or mailed/dropped off to: Attn: Roberta Roll, Chair, Town Hall 230 Mountain View Road, Copake NY 12516.

THANK YOU!
