Thank you for providing input on the issues that will be addressed in the new
Copake Smart Growth Comprehensive Plan. The Town is developing this plan based on "smart growth principles of compact growth, mixed land use, open space conservation and attractive, inclusive livable neighborhoods and public spaces.” (From the
NYS Smart Growth Program.)
Our first step to hear your views is this survey. We'd like all community members ages 18 and up to respond. Please share your thoughts about the future of Copake! We want to hear from everyone - old timers and newcomers, renters and owners, weekenders and full timers – young, old and everybody in between.
- Survey responses are confidential.
- It should take about 30 minutes. We know this seems long...but your answers are important! Be sure to respond in areas that are a priority for you. Clicking "Next" at the bottom of each page saves your progress to that point. You can return to the survey at any time.
- Taking the survey online simplifies data entry, analysis and reduces costs. If you prefer, pick up a paper copy at Town Hall to mail in or drop back at Town Hall.

June 28, 2025 from 10:00am-12:00pm at Town Hall, 230 Mountainview Road Copake NY. The Comprehensive Plan Review Committee meets the first Monday of the month at Town Hall at 5:00 PM. Meetings are open to the public to observe. Check for online options at
