The Shire of Collie (the Shire) is developing an Economic Development and Tourism Strategy. This forms part of Council's mission to deliver high quality services, advocate for Collie, and fosters partnerships to achieve better outcomes which are guided by the community’s vision and balanced by responsible financial management.
As the regional environment continues to evolve, new opportunities, challenges, and community and stakeholder expectations are emerging.
The Strategy will bring together priorities, identify gaps, and outline a clear plan to guide the next stage of Collie’s economic and tourism journey for the Shire.
As part of this process the Shire is seeking input from community members, local businesses, and interested stakeholders. Your input will help shape the direction of the Strategy and accompanying Action Plan.
This Strategy is being developed to guide the Shire’s actions and activities in economic development and tourism, and where relevant and beneficial to the region we will look to advocate to, partner with, or support the actions and activities of the WA Government, Australian Government and other industry stakeholders.
The survey is broken into 2 key sections. We invite and encourage you to complete each section, however, you are welcome to complete only the sections of most interest to you. The sections include:
1. Economic development: Collie’s strengths, challenges, opportunities and priorities
2. Tourism: Collie’s strengths, challenges, opportunities and priorities
Your survey results will be anonymised. Information collected through this survey will be used solely for research and planning purposes to inform the development of the Economic Development and Tourism Strategy. On completion of the survey there is the opportunity to go into the draw to win one of five $100 Shop Local Collie Chamber of Commerce Vouchers by providing your name and phone number. Your survey results will remain anonymised even if you choose to enter the draw.
The Shire engaged consultancy Delos Delta to design and deliver this survey and engagement process, and to develop insights to inform the strategic process.
