Clinton Public Library Long Range Planning Survey
In 2017 the City of Clinton and the Clinton Public Library Board conducted a full building assessment of the Main Branch and Lyons Branch buildings. In this assessment approximately $2.1 million of recommended, required, and urgent code, maintenance, and ADA items were identified. The Library Board has approximately $1.4 million of these items currently left outstanding on both buildings. In 2021 a space needs evaluation was completed to compare the current collections, seating, computers and size of overall building to national library standards. The libraries are about 7,000 SF below those standards considering the service population. Also in 2021, a public planning process began to determine a vision for the future of the library facilities. This survey will help to continue to gather public input for how you would like library services provided to residents.
