As part of Goal 3 of the Arizona Department of Health Services’ (ADHS)
2024 - 2029 Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementia State Plan, ADHS seeks to gain a deeper understanding of how professionals reduce risk for, screen for, diagnose, treat, and care for cognitive decline and dementia across Arizona. This survey was developed and disseminated by ADHS, stakeholders, partners, and community members to clinicians across the state.
Clinicians refers to medical professionals who would be in a position to diagnose dementia, including but not limited to geriatricians, neurologists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, general practitioners, psychologists, psychiatrists and other professionals who serve these patients and their caregivers. Results will be used to strengthen ongoing efforts to educate and support clinicians in risk reduction, early detection and diagnosis, treatment, and care of individuals living with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.
