ABOUT THE CENTRAL SQUARE BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT (CSBID)

The Central Square Business Improvement District (CSBID) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit (separate from the City of Cambridge) established in 2019 to energize Central Square. To maintain and uplift what makes Central special, CSBID creates spaces and opportunities for local residents, artists, and entrepreneurs to benefit from the richness of Central Square's Cultural District. In addition to programming and pop-ups, the CSBID manages a team of ambassadors who are stewards for the district seven days a week. The ambassadors are a welcoming presence in the Square, working to maintain Central’s shared public spaces, connect at-risk neighbors with social services, and assist shop owners, residents, and visitors.

ABOUT THE CSBID ACTION PLAN

In early 2024, the CSBID launched a planning process that will create an action plan to guide the organization and district over the next five years. We want to hear about what you think of Central Square today, and what YOUR hopes, desires, and concerns are for the future of Central Square and the CSBID. Your answers will be used to shape the Action Plan and guide the Central Square BID’s future programs, services, and investments.
