Callander Primary School (at 6 Bridgend, Callander) FK17 8AB is due to close because a new primary school is being built in Callander which is due to open by Summer 2026.
Callander Development Trust is interested in taking ownership of this asset from Stirling Council on behalf of the people of the town. We are very sensitive to ensuring all assets in the area are vibrant so don't want to duplicate what is going well. The community has already completed a survey earlier in the year so this is a short follow up to allow you us to take the idea to the next level of detail. The priorities that have emerged are for a quality good sized community hall, a bespoke performance space, an exhibition space and a place that will facilitate learning.
We want to know what you think: how could a centre like this serve the people of Callander? What would you like to see in this space?Make your voice heard! The more people who contribute the better! We are holding a Community Drop-In on Thursday 5th February at Callander Primary School so you can learn more about the proposal for Community Arts, Education and Training Centre, consider opportunities for partnership and the design of the building. This is another opportunity to share your views and ideas to help shape the future of the school!
The survey will close at the end of February.
