The Suppliers Partnership for the Environment (SP) – an industry sustainability leadership forum representing global automakers and their tiered suppliers – is inviting content proposals for workshop, panel, and innovation pitch sessions for the 2026 SP Innovation Summit scheduled for July 28 - 29, 2026 in Detroit, Michigan.

Organized by SP’s Technology & Innovation Advisory Committee, the SP Innovation Summit is designed as a leadership event focused on building understanding of critical barriers impacting the sustainability of the automotive industry and its supply chain and working towards practical solutions to accelerate innovation. Attendees include senior-level representatives from across the automotive industry and supply chain.

SP is inviting proposals to support key aspects of the 2026 Summit agenda, including, but not limited to:

· facilitators / speakers for deep-dive workshops / training sessions;
· executive-level speakers for plenary session panels;
· sustainability-focused innovation / technology pitch presentations

The Committee is seeking speaker proposals touching on emerging trends, leading practices, or new innovations relevant to automotive sustainability goals. Key themes of interest to our attendees include:
  • Decarbonizing Operations & Supply Chains: Exploring challenges and opportunities in advancing practical decarbonization strategies across manufacturing and the value chain, with a focus on opportunities for reducing operational risk, strengthening competitiveness, and driving measurable progress toward carbon neutrality goals.
  • Sustainable & Circular Materials: Exploring challenges and opportunities in accelerating a circular materials economy through targeted deep dives into priority material categories, highlighting strategies with potential to reduce lifecycle cost and supply risk while unlocking new value and performance opportunities.
  • Nature & Water Stewardship: Addressing emerging stakeholder expectations and nature-related risks by exploring pathways to strengthen resilience, safeguard critical dependencies, and generate business and environmental value through nature-based solutions and water stewardship leadership.
  • Sustainability Leadership Strategies & Emerging Issues: Exploring how leaders can embed sustainability into core business strategy and enhance organizational agility, focusing on tools, insights, and emerging issues that may position companies to better manage risk, build capacity, and innovate through rapid change.
Consultants / software vendors submitting a speaker proposal should propose at least one corporate partner as a co-presenter within their proposals. No sales pitches are permitted by Summit presenters. Interactive workshops and session formats designed to engage attendees in conversation are generally preferred within breakout sessions.

To submit a content proposal for consideration by the Council, please complete the following nomination form. Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis and are requested to be submitted before January 31, 2026.

The Council will review submitted proposals and notified those selected for inclusion in the Summit in late February / early March 2026.
