Help us understand local community perspectives on visitor impact in the High Peak to inform our future plans

The National Trust are in the process of building an application for Landscape Recovery funding in the High Peak, which, if successful, will help us to deliver large-scale, long-term positive outcomes for nature and people over the next 20 years.

As a resident of the High Peak and a member of the local community, we are seeking your early input into the project.

If you would like to share your views, please complete the short survey below. It should take no more than 5 minutes to complete, and your response will help us understand the current situation for local High Peak residents, and inform how funding could be used to support local community needs and priorities.

Your feedback will be central in shaping how we involve and communicate with local communities going forward. Please note, we won’t be able to respond directly to individual feedback at this stage.

Many thanks in advance for your time.

We will continue to gather information from communities and other stakeholders over the coming months to inform our Landscape Recovery Scheme application, which we hope to submit to Defra in 2026.

We'll share more information about our plans and progress in due course, based on how you've told us you’d like to be informed and involved if the application is successful.

Many thanks.
