This survey is intended to solicit feedback from current or former Black or African American Evanston residents along with individuals who may be direct descendants of a Black or African American resident of Evanston between 1919 and 1969.

The purpose of this survey is to aid the City of Evanston in identifying, prioritizing, and quantifying individuals for the City of Evanston Restorative Housing Reparations program. The Restorative Housing Reparations program is the first remedy policy developed by the Reparations Subcommittee. The Reparations Subcommittee plans to develop additional remedy policies pertaining to the City of Evanston local reparations.


Please note that this survey is not an application. This survey is used to gather information and feedback. Responses may be subject to FOIA. Personal information such as email addresses and phone numbers are exempt from FOIA.
