The Fern Ridge School District invites and values input from all stakeholders.

Thank you for your time and for taking a moment to share your input and comments about current investments and focus areas for our K-12 Community, as well as your priorities for future funding investments moving forward.

FRSD Mission Statement Pillars:
Relationship - Rigor - Relevance

The questions below are aligned to both our vision and mission in the Fern Ridge School District.

Thank you again for your time and thoughtfulness.
First, you will be asked to answer some demographic questions. Demographic information allows the district to better understand certain background characteristics of an audience, whether it’s their age, race, ethnicity, income, work situation, marital status, etc. By asking demographic questions in surveys, we can gather anonymous demographic information about current and potential stakeholders at scale, and in turn, help to design and be more intentional with district planning.
The first pillar of our district mission is RELATIONSHIP. Our goal is to ensure a supportive and safe school environment that values diversity, and in which all students and adults feel welcomed and respected.   Some of the on-going work around RELATIONSHIP includes: funding a family-resource coordinator, full time counselors at each building, training staff (IA training, suicide prevention training, Sources of Strength 6-12, etc.), and supporting school-community events (SANTA Project, food drives, Adopt-a-family, athletics, concerts, family fun nights, etc.).

RIGOR
The second pillar of our district mission is RIGOR. Our goal is to maintain high expectations and promote academic excellence through challenging curriculum, as well as instruction that builds critical thinking skills.
Some of the on-going work around RIGOR includes: standards-based curriculum adoption and training, on-going data teams, implementation of the SBAC interim assessments, PSATs, AP courses at EHS, elective offerings, afterschool programming, and summer programs.

RELEVANCE

The third pillar of our district mission is RELEVANCE. Our goal is to help students connect and apply their education to the world of today and tomorrow.

Some of the on-going work around RELEVANCE includes: volunteer opportunities, field trips, assemblies, current affairs, CTE opportunities, job-shadows, career days, job fairs, etc.
