Introduction
Thank you for your interest in the Clinical Education Initiative (CEI)'s summer 2025 Preceptorship Program, hosted in collaboration with Evergreen Health, in Buffalo, NY!
Designed to provide New York State-based clinicians with an intensive, engaging experience to enhance knowledge and competence in care and treatment for people who use drugs. This program is open to all New York State-based clinicians, including physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, certified midwifes and pharmacists.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Accepted participants are expected to:
- Attend 1-hour Preceptorship Program opening webinar July 22nd, 2025 at 9:00am
- Complete at least three (3) on-demand trainings available on CEI's website prior to clinical shadowing:
- Participate in one full-day of in-person clinical shadowing at Evergreen Health in Buffalo, NY between July 28 and August 8, 2025 (date of clinical shadowing to be confirmed upon acceptance into program)
- Shadow experienced clinical providers in a low threshold, harm reduction medical practice, sit in on patient visits and discuss best practices for clinical care
- Attend 1-hour Preceptorship Program closing webinar Tuesday, August 12th at 2:00pm
