Continuing Education Grant For METRO Members - Winter/Spring 2026 |
METRO Library Council is pleased to provide support for employees of our member institutions to attend conferences, classes, or courses of their choosing. Our aim with this grant is to provide assistance for individuals who are seeking to learn new skills but who do not presently have the financial support necessary for doing so from their institution.
Financial assistance in any amount up to $500.00 is available to help defray the costs of registration, housing, and travel. In-person and remote events that are related to the library services profession are eligible.
Funding will be provided on a reimbursement basis. Grants allocated in this round of funding must be used between January 1, 2026 and June 30, 2026. Recipients must send a summary of their experiences, plus an invoice and all receipts, to METRO Library Council within two weeks of the event’s conclusion.
Please apply here by Sunday, December 14, 2025 with logistics related to your request. Use questions 10 and 11 to share how funding from METRO will benefit you and your community, providing as much information to support your application as possible. Unfortunately, we regularly receive many more applications than we are able to provide grants for, so responses to these questions are vital to successful applications.
Selected recipients will be notified on or before Monday, December 22, 2025.
