Madison Heights 2025 Master Plan Update Survey

The Master Plan is an important policy document that guides decision-making processes on land use, neighborhoods, transportation, and commercial corridors. Most importantly, the Master Plan serves as the foundation for the city's Zoning Ordinance. The City of Madison Heights last updated its Master Plan in early 2021, which itself represented the first major Master Plan update since 1990. Since 2021, Madison Heights has seen some significant changes, including the adoption of a new Zoning Ordinance, the kick-off to the 11 Mile streetscape project, new residential, commercial and industrial developments, and participation in the Southeast Oakland County Safe Streets initiative. Due to these changes within the city, the Madison Heights Planning Commission believes that it is an appropriate time to update the Master Plan.

We invite you to provide your input as the City of Madison Heights begins the process of updating the Master Plan. Your vision and opinions matter! Please take a moment to complete the following survey, which takes about 15 minutes to complete. While responses will be anonymous, please feel free to skip any questions you prefer not to answer. Printed copies of the survey are available at the Community and Economic Development Department, 300 W. 13 Mile Road.
