The Emmon Bach Fellowship is a named fellowship. There will be one successful candidate for this award and the awardee is expected to attend the full CoLang 2026, including both the workshops and the practicum.

The fellowship covers tuition for CoLang 2026 workshops and practicum as well as lodging and a meal plan (weekdays only).

Applying for the Emmon Bach Fellowship requires filling out this form, uploading the required 750-word statement of purpose for attending CoLang, and providing two letters of recommendation. The application deadline is April 10, 2026 at 11:59 PM (PDT). This deadline applies to all parts of the application: completing this form, uploading the essay, and providing the required two reference letters.
