Nomination Criteria and Application Form
OVERVIEW
Equestrian Queensland (EQ) is now seeking your nominations for the 2025 Equestrian Queensland Annual Awards. The EQ Awards are conducted annually to recognise the outstanding achievements from our athletes, teams, coaches, volunteers, officials, and horses that have made an outstanding contribution to equestrian sport in Queensland.

The EQ Awards are conducted annually to recognise the outstanding achievements from our athletes, teams, coaches, volunteers, officials, and horses that have made an outstanding contribution to equestrian sport in Queensland.

NOMINATION AND JUDGING PROCESS
The following criteria apply to the nomination process for the EQ Awards:
- The person nominating must be an EQ, EA, or member of an affiliated club.
- More than one nomination may be submitted (each nomination must be completed separately).
- Address all the questions for the Award category.
- Nominations are considered for services and achievements during the period of November 2024 – October 2025 for all categories EXCEPT ‘Service to Sport’. Previous services and achievements are not considered in the judging of the annual awards.
- 'Service to Sport’ are judged for services and achievements over a number of years.
- The Rising Star categories are NOT self-nominating. Each of the EQ Sport Committees will nominate the finalists in each of these categories to be submitted to the Panel for consideration.
- The Queensland Off-The-Track Leaderboard High Point Horse Awards are NOT self-nominating. The QOTT Leaderboard High Point Horse Awards are presented to the OTT horses that have accumulated the highest points in each discipline during the award criteria period.
- The Next Gen Leaderboard Awards are NOT self-nominating. The Next Gen Leaderboard Awards are presented to the combinations that have accumulated the highest points in each discipline during the award criteria period.
- Two high resolution images (one head shot and one action image) are required with each submission. These images can be uploaded with the nomination or can be emailed to awards@equestrianqld.com.au.
- Nomination forms and supporting material including photographs, etc. will not be returned after judging.
- Nominee's attendance at the Awards ceremony will be at their own cost.
EQ may use information provided in the nomination forms for publicity or other award applications. Nominations Close on Wednesday 29 October 2025.
