CARTA Now & Next plan is our agency's Short-Range Transit Development Plan, a five-year roadmap that will guide future transit service decisions. In the near term (one to two years), the focus is on making service more reliable and improving connections between routes. In the long term, the plan looks at possible service improvements five years from now when the Lowcountry Rapid Transit (LCRT) system is up and running.
