The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (the Commission) has released the initial draft of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (third edition). We are seeking your feedback on whether the Standards:
  • reflect key safety and quality priorities
  • are easy to understand and free from duplication
  • clearly describe the expectations of health services
  • can be strengthened to better support the delivery of high-quality care
  • reduce compliance burden while maintaining safety and quality

Instructions
  • Review the Standards (third edition). Reading time: 70 minutes
  • The survey takes around 30 minutes to complete.
  • You can skip any questions you do not want to answer. All but two questions are optional. To skip the required questions, choose not applicable.
  • You can stop and resume later, if you use the same device.
  • The survey will close on 25 September 2026.
  • Please share the survey link with others who work in the health sector.

The survey feedback will inform development of the next draft of the NSQHS Standards (third edition).
