Rideau Lakes Business Recognition Awards - Online Nomination Form 2026

NOMINATION DEADLINE: FRIDAY, MARCH 6, 2026

Rideau Lakes’ Business Recognition Program aims to acknowledge the many contributions of local businesses within the Township, demonstrating their support for the growth of their community.

Business of the Year Award (3+ years): This award is to recognize a business operating within the Township of Rideau Lakes that has demonstrated a commitment to the community and its residents, while displaying strong ethics within the business and society.

Small Business Award (5 employees or less): This award acknowledges businesses with 5 or fewer employees including the owner(s) and home-based businesses that have demonstrated qualities such as professional integrity, excellence in customer service, success through innovation and a commitment to the community.

New Business Award (1 to 3 years): This award is to honour the hard work demonstrated by a start-up company or to recognize a successful new business that has been in operation within the Township for 1 to 3 years.

Long Standing Business (20+ years): An honourable mention will be given to businesses that have continuously operated in Rideau Lakes for over 20 years.

Additional rules and regulations:
· Nominations must be made using the Nomination Form prior to the stated deadline;

· Additional pages may be submitted but must be indicated on the nomination form;

· One nomination per application;

· You may only nominate a person/business once;

· Home-based and sole proprietor businesses are eligible;

· Businesses must have been in operation for at least one year at the time of nomination;

· No repeat winners in the same category;

· Municipal funded services and/or committees are not eligible for nomination;

· Nominations must be made by a third party (you may not nominate yourself, your employer or a member of your immediate family).

Business Recognition Event:
Award winners will be recognized for their achievements at the Business Recognition Event to be held at the Elgin Lions Community Hall on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
