The NSW Chapter of the Australian Association for Environmental Education (AAEE NSW) invites applications for the 2023 Brian Foreman Scholarship.
About the 2023 Scholarship
The Brian Foreman Scholarship was created to assist a member of the association to travel and attend the biennial conference. Brian Foreman was a founding member of the Association in 1980 and his work in South Australia is legendary. This award is in recognition of Brian’s contribution to environmental education in general and to AAEE in particular. Read Brian’s Story.

The Brian Foreman Scholarship was created to assist a member of the association to travel and attend the biennial conference. In 2023 it is intended that this scholarship will provide an AAEE financial member who is an environmental educator or a student in a related field with financial assistance (up to $900) to attend the AAEE Biennial National Conference in Wollongong Sept 25-27, 2023. The successful applicant will be invited to speak at the conference.

- It may be easier for you to prepare your answers in a word document first, then copy and paste them here when you are ready to submit your application as you cannot save and return to this form. You can see the full extent of the questions requiring answers by scrolling to the bottom of the survey form.
- The successful applicant will need to be available for media coverage as required upon receiving the scholarship and will need to submit a short article within 3 months of event attendance, which may be used in AAEE publications. The topic you will be asked to address in the article is: How the experience enhanced your current work; any ideas, skills or strategies you learnt from the experience; and how you have or will share these with others.

- Funding is available specifically to cover conference ticket and accommodation costs. Travel costs will not be covered. If you have any questions about funding or while completing this application form, please contact us at the NSW chapter - we will be administering the scholarship this year.
