The final will be 8 bands, 15 minute sets. These bands will be contacted on Friday 5th June 2026.

5.We may film the event. Do all of your band members agree to have images and sound captured, stored and shared (strictly with permission of Youths Arts Jersey)?(Required.)
6.This is a public ticketed event, meaning that the public may take photos and videos of your performance. Do you accept that photos and videos may be taken of you whilst attending/performing at the event?(Required.)
7.Are all band members able to provide consent by a legal guardian for all aspects of the competition (if you are a selected as a finalist)?(Required.)
8.To be able to shortlist the finalists we will need to hear your band.

Applications will be judged on originality, performance, presence, ability and effort.

All bands will compete with good sportsmanship and be welcoming to other competing bands.

All decisions made by the organising committee will be final.

A winning band may not compete the following year. members may take part in different bands. The winning band from the previous year will be offered the "headline slot" the following year - this being the last performance while the judges are deliberating.

Bands must not bring Jersey Youth Arts or the event into disrepute and must abide by any venue rules/restrictions at all times.

Bands will not use any kind of language or behaviour that could be considered offensive during the day of the competition and particularly when performing.

The event is strictly alcohol and drug free, bands should not partake of either on the day of the competition.

Breaching the Code of Conduct may result in, although not exclusive to, the individual/band being disqualified; the individual/band being ejected from the event; loss of any privileges derived from the event.

  • Your entry does not guarantee that you will be shortlisted for the finals.
  • By making an entry you are confirming that you are available between 14:00 - 21:30 on Saturday 20th June 2026
  • You must prepare a set of no more than 15 mins for the finals, bands going over their allotted time will be "cut off".
  • You will be contacted when the shortlist is announced to confirm whether you have progressed to the finals.
  • Bands must have at least two members (i.e. not solo acts or acoustic duos)
  • Any specific equipment requirements should be notified before the finals. We will try and accommodate all reasonable requests
  • Bands are encouraged to include at least one original song in their set (but it is not compulsory)
  • Any one member can take part in more than one band within reason. The organisers decision will be final.
