Madison Park - Becks Pool Infrastructure Improvements Survey

This survey is the first step in the public participation process for infrastructure improvements at Madison Park's Becks Pool. Responses will be used to help identify and prioritize the key improvements that will be considered for the initial conceptual design work. Additional public input will be solicited once the conceptual design is developed later this summer.
1.Are you a Lakewood resident?
2.What age group do you fall in?
3.Do you consider Madison Park Becks Pool to be an important facility for Lakewood?

8.The 2024 Madison Park Master Plan identified several elements for consideration in the redevelopment of Becks Pool that are intended to improve the facility and serve the immediate community. Given limited resources, help us to gain a view of community priorities by ranking the following Master Plan elements in order of importance (one selection per column):
(#1) - Most important
(#2)
(#3)
(#4)
(#5)
(#6) - Least important
Right-size the footprint and pool area to allow more amenities and reduce the amount of fenced-in hardscaped area.
Incorporate pool features that are unique to Becks Pool such as "rock" ledges, rope ladders, and a zipline across the water.
Increase supporting amenities to create a more pleasant experience, such as seating, shade, and improved concession offerings.
Improve the accessibility of the pool area for all ages, abilities, and incomes.
Redesign the pool house to provide an enclosed community space that can be used year-round.
Introduce a new splash pad as a central feature of Madison Park
9.The current Becks Pool layout has a separate diving well. As different renovation and layout options are considered, retaining and/or relocating the diving well can have more significant implications on design and subsequent construction then other features. Is a diving well an important element to keep at Becks Pool as part of the renovated design?
10.Would you like to see the amount of space designed for young children increased in size over the current kiddie pool area?
11.Would you like to see new and/or different features (slides, splash elements, zero-depth entry, jet flow area, etc.) added?
12.Do you support spending City funds on this project?
13.Are there any public pools outside Lakewood that we should reference as we look ahead to Becks Pool investments? Please include where and why.
14.If you have further comments regarding any aspect of the pool, please provide them here.
15.Please provide your email if you would like to be informed of future opportunities to add your input to the plans:
