Inform the Design of the Improvements at Bassett's Creek Park in the Harrison Neighborhood!
Provide feedback on the concept and let us know what you like!
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) recently approved the North Service Area Master Plan, including Bassett's Creek Park. The North Service Area Master Plan was approved in 2019 and guides the development of neighborhood parks in the service area. The park has $525,000 of NPP20 funding available for improvements in 2020. The current project requires the creation of a concept plan prior to construction. The concept plan is more detailed than the approved master plan and is what you are commenting on now.
The goal of this survey is to gain input from the community on the draft concept plan and how the park's improvements should look. Plus, what types of play features and material styles you and your family want to see.
After we've received input on the concept we'll refine it and go before the Board of Commissioners for approval. Once approved, final design and engineering will get started. Construction is anticipated to start in 2020.
Park improvements will be made on the Harrison Neighborhood side of the park, north of the creek (the Bryn Mawr Neighborhood side was improved last fall).
