Introduction

Barthol Chapel Community Hub SCIO, a charitable organisation, are seeking to acquire the Barthol Chapel Parish Church for community use.
BCCH envisions the Church becoming a welcoming, warm and lively social hub serving local people, providing somewhere to meet, learn, celebrate and collaborate.
The space will be available to hire for a range of activities – from exercise classes to music events and art exhibitions. The fees from private rentals will subsidise the offering of lower- cost rates for events and activities originating within the community. We are already using the church, through a meanwhile use arrangement with the Church of Scotland.
We want to understand and confirm the community's wishes and uses for the church as we develop our plans and seek funding for the purchase and renovation of the building.
We have engaged external consultants, Delfinity, to help us carry out this work, together with an architectural practice, OCA, who have developed initial plans, which can be viewed at the church or online at www.bartholchapelhub.org.
This survey is to understand and prioritise uses for the site and building. The results of the survey will be available to all households in the community and there will be the opportunity for residents to discuss the findings.

We are keen to hear the views of all residents. Please note that the questions with asterisks are mandatory.

There are 9 questions, and it should take about 8 minutes to complete.

If you have any questions, please contact Fiona Smith of Delfinity at fiona@delfinity.co.uk or info@bartholchapelhub.org
Thank you for taking part.
