1. Introduction

We are conducting a survey into dogs that have had a gonioscopy examination under the British Veterinary Association (BVA)/ Kennel Club (KC)/ International Sheepdog Society (ISDS) Eye Scheme to learn more about whether these dogs have been affected with glaucoma later in life.

Gonioscopy is performed to assess for risk of inherited glaucoma – a painful and blinding eye disorder which usually results in the need for the eye, or eyes, having to be removed. Dogs are graded on a scale of 0-3, where grade 0 is no signs of abnormality and 3 is severe. Our records show that your dog has previously had one or more gonioscopy eye tests and we would therefore be very grateful if you would complete this very short survey.

Please complete one survey per dog that you own/ have previously owned that has undergone a BVA/KC/ISDS Eye Scheme gonioscopy examination.

You will need your dog's KC registration details (which can be found on your KC registration certificate or via your KC Account online under "My dogs") and their latest BVA/KC/ISDS Eye Scheme certificate results (which will have been provided to you at time of testing or can be found on your dog's profile on the Health Test Results Finder) to complete the survey.

We recommend completing this survey on a desktop computer or laptop. All personal information given will be kept confidential and be presented anonymously.
