EDGE Skills Centre’s computer classes are designed to help you gain confidence with everyday computer tasks. These beginner-friendly sessions cover basic computer use and Microsoft Office essentials, with a different topic offered each week.

GETTING COMFORTABLE WITH COMPUTERS & WINDOWS
For beginner adult learners with little to no experience using computers. No prior computer experience required.

MICROSOFT WORD BASICS
For beginner adult learners with very limited or no experience using Microsoft Word.
Prerequisite Knowledge: Comfortable using a mouse and keyboard; Able to open/close a program.

MICROSOFT EXCEL BASICS
For beginner adult learners with limited or no experience using Microsoft Excel.
Prerequisite Knowledge: Comfortable using a mouse and keyboard; Able to open/close a program; Familiarity with the Windows desktop.

EMAIL & MICROSOFT OUTLOOK BASICS
Prerequisite Knowledge: Comfortable using a computer mouse and keyboard; have basic familiarity with the Windows desktop.

COMPUTER & WINDOWS BEST PRACTICES FOR WORK EFFICIENCY
For pre-intermediate adult learners who want to learn practical tips that prepare them for an office work setting and improve productivity.
Prerequisite Knowledge: Familiarity with the Windows desktop; Ability to use File Explorer for simple navigation; Have basic experience with Microsoft Word.

10.IMPORTANT GUIDELINES:

1. After you complete and submit this registration form, a staff member from EDGE will contact you by email or phone to confirm your registration and provide class details.

2. Each class is limited to 10 participants to ensure the best learning experience. Registration is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. If the classes you registered for are already full, we will contact you to discuss the next available session.

3. To ensure fairness, participants who confirm their attendance but miss two sessions without notice or a valid reason may not be permitted to register for future classes.

4. Some classes require participants to have basic prior knowledge. Please review the prerequisite requirements for each class during registration to confirm the class is a good fit for you.

5. Microsoft Office classes (such as Word and Excel) are offered over two consecutive Saturdays. Attendance at both sessions is strongly encouraged.

6. Participants may register for and attend the same topic up to two times.

7. Computers are available on-site, though you are welcome to bring your own device if you prefer.
