2026 Fleet Safety Award Nomination Form

Do you know a fleet or risk manager whose leadership and innovation have enhanced the safety of fleet drivers, their organizations, and the general public? Are you that person? Consider nominating them — or yourself — for the annual Fleet Safety Award, presented by the American Automotive Leasing Association (AALA) and Automotive Fleet magazine.

Applicants are candidates working with light- and medium-duty fleets. A panel of industry leaders will evaluate the nominations to determine the winner.

The winner, as well as two runners up, will be announced at the 2026 Fleet Forward Conference, convening at the Gaylord National Resort in National Harbor, Maryland on October 20–22, 2026. Nominations close on August 15, 2026.
1.Whom would you like to nominate for the 2026 Fleet Safety Award?
(You may nominate yourself.)
(Required.)
2.What is the nominee's total number of fleet vehicles at the company?
(Enter 'I don't know' in the blank if unsure.)
3.Please describe the nominee's fleet safety strategy: the mission, what's been built and maintained, and the safety culture in the organization.
4.Describe how the nominee measures safety in their organization and provide statistics that support the expansion of safety culture. (i.e. decrease in accidents, fatalities, and injuries year-over-year)
5.Please provide statistics that demonstrate positive safety trends in relation to crash rates, total losses, fleet costs, dangerous driving behaviors, policy violations, and any other data or metrics that would support your nomination.
6.What other key performance indicators (KPIs) does the nominee measure and how do they measure them, internal vs. suppliers?
7.What are the top initiatives the nominee has introduced over the past several years to increase driver safety? What was the goal, and what was the effect?
8.Please fill out the nominee's contact information. (If nominating yourself, please still fill out your contact info.)
Do you have additional materials—such as presentations, photos, links, awards, or recognitions—that highlight your fleet safety accomplishments? Email them to peters@aalafleet.com. They will be included as supporting documentation for the judges' review.

Please note that some email providers limit the size of files that can be sent. If your files are large, send them in multiple emails. For each submission, include both your name and the applicant's name in the cover email.
