This is the photo submission form for Saint Louis Zoo's Beloved Animals Ofrenda.
In observance of Día de los Muertos ("Day of the Dead"), the Saint Louis Zoo invites you to honor the memory of beloved animals by submitting a photo for our Beloved Animals Ofrenda.
An
ofrenda is an altar displayed during the traditional Mexican celebration of Día de los Muertos to honor cherished loved ones who have passed away. The Zoo’s Beloved Animals Ofrenda will celebrate the lives of pets, livestock, Zoo animals, and other beloved animals remembered by Zoo employees and members of the larger St. Louis community.
Submission Guidelines
- Photos must only feature animals that have passed away; please do not include people or living animals.
- One photo per submission.
- Submissions may include your family’s pets, livestock, or other beloved animals you cared for or held a meaningful connection with.
- By submitting a photo, you grant the Saint Louis Zoo permission to display the photo as part of the 2026 Día de los Muertos / Beloved Animals Ofrenda observance, including digital displays, on-site presentations, and related event materials. You also grant the Saint Louis Zoo permission to retain and use the submitted photo for future Beloved Animals Ofrenda observances, archival purposes, internal documentation, and related promotional or educational materials. Submission does not guarantee inclusion. If you would like your submitted photo removed from future use, please contact the Zoo.
