Weaver Hollow Park Improvements - Community Survey

Introduction
Foothills Park & Recreation District (Foothills) is beginning a process of planning improvements for Weaver Hollow Park. The goal is to develop a vision for updates to the park that can be implemented in the coming years. Foothills wants to ensure that the improvements are driven by community input so the park can best meet the desires of the community.

Phasing and Timeline
The first phase of improvements is planned to address some of the immediate needs in the park. Phase 1 will include replacement of the playground, and installation of a new irrigation system. Construction of Phase 1 is planned to begin in 2027. Future phases of improvements will be determined through the park planning process. There is no current funding or planned schedule for improvements beyond the first phase.

Givens
Foothills intends to keep the existing parking lot, pool, and baseball diamond at their current locations. The multi-use sports fields will remain in the park, though they could be reconfigured to better suit other park needs. The number of fields will not be reduced.

Next Steps
Based on community comments received during the recent open house at the park and through this survey, concept alternatives will be developed for the future improvements. Those concepts will be shared with the community at a future meeting and refined based on community feedback.
