Glossary

AI (Artificial Intelligence) : refers to the simulation of human intelligence in machines that are programmed to think and learn like humans. This includes the capacity to reason, learn from experience, decipher complex datasets, and adapt to evolving inputs. In its modern and most potent form, AI is defined by the combination of Predictive AI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI.

Predictive AI : this facet of AI leverages statistical algorithms and machine learning to analyze historical data. Its primary goal is to identify patterns and determine the probability of future outcomes, enabling organizations to move from reactive to proactive decision-making through accurate forecasting and prescriptive recommendations.

Generative AI : beyond mere analysis, Generative AI is designed to produce original content. By understanding the deep structures of vast datasets, it can synthesize new text, high-resolution imagery, code, and creative ideas that mimic human-like output, fundamentally transforming content creation and rapid prototyping.

Agentic AI : the next frontier of intelligence, Agentic AI refers to systems capable of autonomous reasoning and goal-oriented action. Unlike standard tools that require step-by-step prompts, these "agents" can decompose complex objectives into actionable tasks, interact with external software environments, and make independent adjustments to achieve a final result without constant human intervention.

Data Governance : Data governance is the set of policies, processes, and practices that ensure high data quality, integrity, and security throughout your organization.
