2026 Consultation on Revisions to Council Rule Amendments
The Insurance Council of BC (Insurance Council) is accepting feedback regarding revisions to Council Rule amendments initially proposed in August 2025. Information provided will help inform Council's consideration of the rule change request to be submitted to the Minister of Finance.
The rules being considered at this time include:
- Rule 2(3)(a), 2(4)(a), 2(5)(c) and 2(11)(c)(ii)
- Rule 5(1)(p)

To share your feedback, please provide your responses and comments no later than April 27, 2026 (3pm PT).

Your comments will be provided to the voting members of the Insurance Council for consideration at the close of the consultation period. If the proposed rule changes are submitted for ministerial approval, these comments will be provided to the Minister of Finance as per the Insurance Council Rule-Making Procedure Regulation.
