Thursday, November 5, 12:30 – 1:30 PM
Presented by: Blue Ridge Community College, Certified Bee Campus; Bee City USA – Hendersonville; Hands On! Children’s Museum; The Good of the Hive
Join us this harvest season as we appreciate the role of pollinators and learn more about the bee mural being painted in downtown Hendersonville! This is your chance to meet The Good of the Hive artist and founder, Matt Willey, who is on a mission to paint 50,000 honey bees (the number in a healthy hive) in murals around the world. Matt will tell the story of how and why he began painting bees and explain his mission to ignite radical curiosity for planetary health issues through art and storytelling. Facilitated by international podcast host, Pam Pyms, participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions during this interactive online meeting with the artist and local bee mural organizers. Using the bee and her hive as a metaphor, Matt aims to activate and celebrate the power in human connection. BEE a part of the experience while Matt is here painting in Hendersonville!
