2022 BEA Categories and Criteria

It's that time of year again - the Prince George Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards nomination period is officially open! There are 10 different categories this year for you to nominate deserving local businesses, organizations, non-profits, or entrepreneurs. Please take a moment to review the award criteria for each category before making your nominations. 

Any Prince George business can be nominated and there are no limits on how many nominations you can submit.
 
The nomination period closes at 11:59 p.m. on July 22nd, 2022.
Business of the Year
This business has demonstrated outstanding performance in leadership, innovation, management, marketing, and customer service. This business not only provides quality products/services but is an inspiring corporate citizen in our community.

Business Person of the Year
This business professional has demonstrated exceptional success in the ownership or management of a local business through leadership, exemplary customer service, and community engagement. Over the year this individual has accomplished outstanding achievements and has made significant contributions to the business community in Prince George.

MicroBusiness of the Year
This micro-business of 5 or fewer employees, has demonstrated success and innovation over the past year. They provide a quality product or service and conduct their business with professionalism and integrity.

Top Indigenous Owned Business
This business has showcased the best of indigenous (First Nations, Metis & Inuit) entrepreneurship in Prince George. This business is owned or operated by an indigenous person, community, or organization. This business has distinguished itself for excellence, innovation, and customer service.

Top Non-Profit/Charity Award
This not-for-profit organization has shown excellence in delivering projects, services, and/or events that give back to our community. Their efforts contribute to Prince George's social and cultural well-being and align with their organizational mission.
Service Excellence Award
This business consistently provided exceptional customer experiences and has achieved a reputation for going above and beyond for its customers/clients.

Environmental Leadership Award
This business has demonstrated an ongoing commitment to the environment and chooses to make a difference in its community through social and environmental responsibility. This is a business that considers the environmental impacts on all its business decisions, product, and services.

Business Resiliency Award 
This business is adaptable to changing orders and evolving priorities. They have shown tremendous skill and have been adept at evolving their practices, policies, and procedures, ensuring business viability and community contribution.

Support PG Award
This organization or business is committed to purchasing through local and provincial suppliers. They donate time, money, social capital, and marketing support for community causes. This business constantly displays community pride through volunteer actions, sharing social media posts, supporting charities, and important City of Prince George initiatives. This business pledges to always #SupportPG. 

Workplace Culture & Safety Award 
This business or organization goes above and beyond creating an inclusive and welcoming environment that successfully reduces barriers for all. During challenging times this organization makes the health and safety of its team a priority. By fostering a culture of commitment to team development and well-being, this business or organization builds a loyal and healthy workforce.
