The Counties of Bruce, Dufferin, Grey and Wellington, together with Saugeen Mobility And Regional Transit (SMART), are conducting a joint Regional Transit Study. The study will explore whether a unified regional transit network across all four counties is possible. The goal is to make travel easier for passengers, identify efficiencies through collaboration, and expand service to areas that currently have limited transportation options.
We are at the initial stages of this study and need your help to understand your travel needs and what a regional transit network should look like.
Your feedback will be used to develop the Regional Transit Plan, including types of service, service hours, frequency, and passenger fares.
The plan will be presented to the County Councils and the SMART Board of Directors in the Spring of 2026, who will determine the next steps.
Your participation is important in shaping the future of transit in our community. Your responses will remain confidential and will only be used to inform the study. Only summary-level results (not individual responses) will be shared publicly.
The survey should take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete, and will close on January 25, 2026, at 11:59 pm.
If you have any questions or require an accommodation to participate, please contact the Project Team Lead at Stephanie.Stewart@grey.ca or 519-370-2094, and we will work with you to meet your accessibility needs.
