This design activity takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete. It includes questions based on the topics discussed during the third community workshop held on September 22nd. Responses are anonymous and will only be used in summary form to inform planning discussions. We will not share any personally identifying information.As part of the Belmont Park Redevelopment Project, horse racing at Aqueduct Racetrack will relocate to Belmont Park, creating an opportunity for the redevelopment of approximately 100 acres at the Aqueduct site. Empire State Development (ESD), New York State’s economic development arm, is leading community workshops and outreach to reimagine the site for uses such as housing, retail, community facilities, and open space.
No plan has been approved to redevelop the site. ESD Is leading a robust community engagement and site planning process that will inform the creation of the Aqueduct Community Master Plan, a document that will guide future development on the site. ESD will then take the Master Plan through the public approvals process.
