POSITION TITLE: EducationUSA Regional Adviser Assistant
PROGRAM LOCATION: The program is available in the following regions: Aragatsotn, Ararat, Armavir, Gegharkunik, Kotayk, Lori, Shirak, Syunik, Tavush, Vayotz Dzor. Only the applicants from the mentioned regions should apply for the program.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
EducationUSA is funded by the Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) with support from the U.S. Embassy in Yerevan. The EducationUSA Regional Advisor Assistant is responsible for cooperating with a Peace Corps Volunteer or other American in his/her region (the program is available in the following regions: Aragatsotn, Ararat, Armavir, Gegharkunik, Kotayk, Lori, Shirak, Syunik, Tavush, Vayotz Dzor) to deliver lectures and presentations on higher education opportunities in the United States and the services of EducationUSA; and assisting prospective students to connect with each other through social media and events.

NOTE: EducatinoUSA Armenia will provide all the program resources. The selected EducationUSA Regional Advisor Assistants will be required to attend both virtual and in-person training prior to the start of the program.
Before completing the survey you must have already identified a Peace Corps Volunteer or other American partner who is willing to cooperate in implementing activities and the venue in the region.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Identify a Peace Corps Volunteer or other American partner who is willing to cooperate in implementing activities
• Identify host venue in the region
• In cooperation with EducationUSA Adviser, identify schools and universities whose students will benefit from the project
• Use provided materials to prepare for and deliver a series of ten lectures on the process of applying to U.S. universities, modifying the curriculum and themes to fit local needs and areas of interest
• Coordinate outreach and logistics for presentations, including social media outreach
• Report event highlights weekly to the EducationUSA Adviser
• Follow-up with all students

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or in last year of studies
• Fluent in English and Armenian
• Knowledge of and interest in U.S. higher education opportunities
• Demonstrated commitment to international education and cultural exchange
• Cross-cultural skills, especially in the area of communication
• Experience in and excellence in public speaking
• Ability to develop connections and work cooperatively with stakeholders
• Excellent planning and implementation, analytical, and computer/internet skills
• High level of attention to detail

• Available for the entire length of the program: July 2017-December 30, 2017

SALARY: 500 USD GROSS paid in AMD (one-time final payment)
