This survey is being conducted by AgeWell Pittsburgh (AgeWell), in partnership with Sacred Spaces. AgeWell Pittsburgh is a collaboration between the Jewish Association on Aging, Jewish Family Community Services, and the Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh. Together, these organizations work to help older adults remain independent in the community for as long as possible.

Our shared goal is to promote the independence, dignity, and safety of older Jewish adults in the Greater Pittsburgh community.

Through a national project, we have the opportunity to more closely examine the public health issue of elder abuse and neglect. This survey is the first step in developing a Coordinated Community Response (CCR) to prevent and address elder abuse and neglect. We are seeking input from Jewish community members and professionals working at Jewish organizations to better understand experiences, needs, current resources, gaps, and opportunities to strengthen the Jewish community's ability to recognize, prevent, and respond to elder abuse and neglect.

Participation in this survey is voluntary. You must be 18 years of age or older to participate.

Your experiences, observations, and insights are vital to helping us develop a Coordinated Community Response that better protects and supports older adults in our community. There are no right or wrong answers. Individual survey responses will be kept confidential. Only aggregate findings and overarching themes will be shared with AgeWell Pittsburgh and project partners.

We ask that you complete the survey by the end of day, Wednesday, October 21, 2026. We also encourage you to share this survey with other members of the Jewish community and professionals who may be interested in participating. AgeWell hopes to hear from as many community stakeholders as possible.

The survey should take less than 15 minutes to complete. Questions marked with an asterisk (*) require a response.
