The Abington Township Public Library will be undertaking a design and planning project for a new main library building. This project will address the challenges of growing and evolving library usage in a building that is reaching the end of its usable life. The Library conducted a strategic planning process in 2022 and this project is based on the findings regarding meeting space shortages, resource organization, and engagement for children, older adults, adult literacy learners, and our patrons in general. Our library building is no longer meeting the needs of our community and we look forward to designing a main library building that will—with your help!
The Library is working with
MPdL Studio on the project, with
Fast Forward Libraries helping to gather input from the community, Library Board, and staff members.
