Delaware Advancing Healthy Lifestyles Early Childcare Mini Grant Program Application (2026 - 2027)

The Delaware Advancing Healthy Lifestyles Healthy School Program seeks to support Delaware ECEs interested in implementing pilot healthy lifestyles interventions. ECEs are invited to apply for mini grants up to $10,000 to implement programs and/or policies, systems, and environmental changes that support healthy lifestyles among students. Please complete this application fully to be considered for funding. Pilot programs must support activities creating an ECE environment that improves children’s physical fitness and a culture of healthier eating for generations to come. Changes to policies, systems and environments are the most powerful way to impact all children, yet we are also looking for programs/events that can address obesity prevention. If funded, awardees must work with the HMA evaluation team to create an evaluation plan for the proposed program/event or policy (min. of 1 - 4 hours per month). Awardees must also submit a mid-term report and final report detailing progress toward evaluation metrics identified in the evaluation plan.

Funding Application Due: September 18, 2026 by 5:00 pm EST

Funding period (project timeline): MOU Execution from November 6, 2026 to May 31, 2027

Important Note: While you can save your progress and return to the survey at a later time to finish, you must do so using the same device and browser. If you return to the survey on the same device and browser, you can pick up where you left off (i.e. do not start it on a computer and then switch to a different computer or phone the next time).
