South Kesteven District Council has recently been accepted into the UK Network of Age Friendly Communities with The Centre for Ageing Better.

We are looking to hear from local organisations that support older* adults in South Kesteven. This data will form a baseline profile of the demographics, support and challenges this part of our community faces.

The structure of this survey reflects the World Health Organisation’s eight domains of Age Friendly Communities. These domains form part of a framework first developed in 2007, which cover the key components that impact on how well people age. They are:
  • Outdoor spaces and buildings
  • Transport
  • Housing
  • Social participation
  • Respect and social inclusion
  • Civic participation and employment
  • Communication and information
  • Community support and health services
We want to ensure our district is a place which enables people to age well and live a good later life. Somewhere that people can stay living in their homes, participate in the activities they value, and contribute to their communities, for as long as possible. Using this framework will help us to address barriers to ageing well, identify where we need to make changes, and ultimately, make our district a better place to age.

South Kesteven District Council appreciates you taking the time to complete this survey on behalf of your organisation.

THIS SURVEY WILL CLOSE ON FRIDAY 12TH SEPTEMBER 2025 AT 12PM.

South Kesteven District Council is committed to protecting and handling personal data in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation and has set out how it will do this whilst carrying out its duties and obligations, in its Data Protection Policy and its Privacy Notice. *The Centre for Ageing Better recognises that not everyone experiences ageing in the same way, but that inequalities can start to emerge when someone is in their 50’s and/or 60’s.
