The Australian Paramedicine Working Group on Drugs and Poisons Legislation will be responsible for actions and advice to the College covering:
  • Review of current relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks across all states and territories, and nationally
  • Identifying inconsistencies and barriers to paramedic practice
  • Developing a position paper outlining recommended reforms and harmonisation strategies
  • Legislative change that supports safe, consistent, and expanded paramedic practice nationally.

It is expected that committee members attend a minimum of 80% of meetings scheduled by the committee chair, are engaged in relevant discussion, and contribute to Working Group tasks/projects/surveys and ad hoc requests in a timely, efficient and respectful manner.
