Creating trail connections between two Allegheny County Parks -- South Park and White Oak Park – is possible! In transforming aspirations that community leaders introduced decades ago, the Allegheny County Park Foundation, in partnership with Allegheny County, the municipalities of Clairton, Glassport, Jefferson Hills, McKeesport, South Park, White Oak, and local trail groups, is leading the way to inter-connect existing portions of the Montour Trail, Steel Valley Trail and the Great Allegheny Passage. This effort focuses on introducing and creating realistic ways to combine existing assets created over the years and while offering improved public safety, convenience and a quality experience on dedicated off-road and on-road investments.
