Alameda County - Countywide Area Plan for Older Adults Survey |
Survey FAQ: Your Plan, Your Voice.
Who is the Alameda County Area Agency on Aging (AAA)? The AAA coordinates services that advance the health and well-being of older adults in Alameda County. Services include Adult Day Care, Family Caregiver Support programs, Food and Nutrition programs, Legal Assistance, Senior Information and Assistance, Long Term Care Ombudsman Services, Senior Center Services, and Visiting. Even if you have never heard of the AAA, chances are you have felt its impact in your community through programs such as Meals on Wheels, Fall Prevention classes, services for people living with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers, or the information and assistance provided through our Aging and Disability Resource Connection.
Why should I take this survey? Every four years the AAA prepares a Countywide Area Plan (CWAP) for Older Adults, which serves as the County’s strategy to provide services for seniors and create a more age friendly community. This is your plan, and needs your voice. These are the services intended to assist older adults to age in place in their homes and communities to the extent possible. The survey is one way to tell us what you need and what an age friendly community means to you.
Some of these questions are very personal. What about privacy? This survey is anonymous and will not be used to identify you in any way. While any information you provide will help us serve the public more effectively, the only “required” questions are the first two: Verifying you are a County resident aged 55 +, and your zip code. All other questions are optional.
How long will this take? Estimated time is approximately 15 minutes. If you need to stop before you are finished, that's fine. You can come back to where you left off.
