Thank you for your interest in attending GLMA's 42nd Annual Conference on LGBTQ+ Health!
The GLMA scholarship program is designed to ensure inclusivity and representation, with a focus on individuals who have historically faced systemic barriers in accessing LGBTQ+ health resources and education. By extending support to students, trainees, and members of historically-excluded groups, GLMA aims to empower the next generation of healthcare professionals, researchers, and advocates who are committed to improving the health and well-being of the LGBTQ+ community.
Scholarships will be awarded either as full coverage of registration costs or as partial scholarships.
Unfortunately scholarships DO NOT include travel or accommodations, but discounted hotel rates will be available for volunteers (more information to follow).
Eligibility:
Scholarship applicants must be a current or prospective student/traineeand/ora member of a historically-excluded group, including but not limited to BIPOC individuals, Intersex individuals, disabled individuals, and Indigenous and Two-Spirit individuals. (Please note: A significant portion of scholarships will be reserved for Indigenous and Two-Spirit individuals, so they are strongly encouraged to apply.)
Applicants must be available to attend at least one full day of the Annual Conference September 30-October 2, 2024.
Applicants must complete this application in its entirety.
Timeline:
March 15, 2024: Scholarship applications open
May 15, 2024: Deadline for scholarship applications (notifications will occur on a rolling basis)
May 22, 2024: All notifications of scholarship decisions sent
September 30 - October 2, 2024: GLMA's 42nd Annual Conference on LGBTQ+ Health
