Tania brings strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and clear communication to the role of Secretary. Her experience as a nurse manager has strengthened her ability to manage documentation, timelines, and accurate record keeping. Tania also understands chapter operations and is committed to supporting the board with consistency, reliability, and leadership experience.

If elected, Tania will serve chapter members by ensuring clear, timely, and accurate communication, helping keep everyone informed, engaged, and connected. She believes strong communication is essential to a successful chapter and to fostering meaningful member involvement.

For 2026–2027, Tania hopes to strengthen member engagement by improving communication, increasing participation, and creating more opportunities for connection and professional growth. Her personal goal is to continue growing as a leader who communicates with clarity, warmth, and consistency while contributing to a chapter culture where members feel valued, informed, and connected.

Tania is also passionate about using her leadership experience to mentor others and help develop future AACN leaders, ensuring the continued growth and success of the chapter.

Although new to serving in a professional nursing association, Rio brings years of diverse nursing experience and a deep passion for the profession. Throughout a successful nursing career, she has remained committed to supporting fellow nurses in their professional growth while promoting resilience, well-being, and a lasting passion for nursing.

If elected, Rio hopes to contribute to initiatives that help members feel valued, supported, and appreciated for the important work they do every day. She believes the chapter should continue to provide high-quality educational opportunities that advance excellence in patient care while also fostering a culture that prioritizes the well-being of nurses. She is committed to helping create a chapter experience that celebrates both professional achievement and the rewarding, meaningful aspects of the nursing profession.

Tammie Couch, RN

Tammie has been an active member of the Palm Beach County AACN Chapter since 2001 and has played an integral role in the chapter’s growth and success. Throughout the years, she has collaborated with fellow chapter leaders to implement meaningful initiatives and help build the strong, supportive, and influential organization the chapter is today.

If elected, Tammie plans to continue supporting the advancement of nursing excellence and professional development. She is passionate about mentoring members, guiding new board members, and encouraging nurses to step into leadership roles within the chapter and their organizations. Drawing on years of experience and institutional knowledge, Tammie hopes to help cultivate the next generation of nurse leaders while strengthening member engagement and participation.
She looks forward to refining and expanding the chapter’s programs and initiatives, ensuring that Palm Beach County AACN continues to grow, innovate, and provide exceptional value to its members for years to come.
