The Government are seeking views on changes to the planning system which could have a big impact on whether sites are built.
Friends, Families and Travellers has created a simple version of parts of the consultation, looking at a couple of the key changes.
To see the proposed changes in full, refer to the government website: National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) consultation.
You can respond directly to government via their portal or send an email to PlanningPolicyConsultation@communities.gov.uk (deadline 10 March 2026).
This survey is a shorter, simpler version of relevant questions, as the full consultation is 123 pages long with 225 questions.
Your responses to this survey will be sent directly to the Government, so your views will be heard. You can take part anonymously.
Survey closes 3pm 4 March 2026, in order to help us collate the information in time.
PLEASE NOTE: This survey is only available to people from a Gypsy or Traveller background. The consultation and changes only apply to England.
